Prime Minister hands in Government‘s resignation

Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson today met with President Halla Tómasdóttir to deliver his Government‘s resignation. The president accepted the resignation and requested that the government would act as a caretaker government until a new government has been formed following parliamentary elections that will take place on November 30.
